Drowning in Information!
Over 20 years as a certified teacher, serving in roles as an Instructional Technologist, Systems Analyst, Learning Specialist and Educational Specialist, I�ve come to know a little about you and how you learn. I work in the system and know full well now schools do not teach us what we need to know to deal with the rapid changes happening around us! My life and career scream of self-directed learning as the sweet solution to embrace surfing the waves of change in the information age.

I should know. I have 4 college degrees. Yet, several major career changes came because of what I learned on my own...on the Internet. IT WAS NOT WHAT I LEARNED IN SCHOOL that got me these career positions. Now, I earn income from tools, technologies and trainings that did not exist when I was finishing my formal education.

I have to agree with you. Formal education is a great starting place but it just is not enough to handle the challenge of continual change we face today.

As used to watch, people struggling, drowning. It hurt.
Somehow, I found my way to solid ground and solutions that produced results. How could I help others overcome the unresolved issues left over by their formal schooling?

I know what my experience was but would it work for others? Was it something everyone could make work? Over the last few years I've done a lot of reflection. I've interviewed many successful business owners, marketers and leaders in the home business areana. They helped me see that they too apply many of the same specific strategies when they were learning to swim in the sea of overwhelm. The strategies work!

They learned informally. Outside of schools and courses. They learned by doing. They applied the same specific strategies I applied. They were able to leverage their learning into success. They too directed their own learning activities. These solutions are what people willingly pay me for. Now, I offer these learning strategies and productive performance patterns to my students to help them smile and even laugh at the sea of information trying to overwhelm them. They now, like a duck, enjoy "Water off their back!"

My mission is to help each of us come together to overcome the dependiencies and deficiencies developed in our formal education. We can leverage what we know into strategies and performance patterns which result in significant solutions and successes for us each of us.

You and I are significant. The lives we lead have consequence. As we overlook our weaknesses and build on our strengths we, you and I, will make life better for those with whom we associate. That is how it happened for me.

Now I love to help individuals grow personally. I want nothing more than to help each person see and reach their full potential as they look optimistically at the world of change and challenges. I want each of us to discover the significant things we can accomplish in our lives and enable those through effective learning strategies.

With my five children heading off on their own live adventures, I knew it was time to apply my learning to teach skills to helping business owners sort through the repression of online information overload. Now, between hikes and bike trips and grandchildren visits, I find business is growing thanks to good people like you seeing solutions to their situation in what I like to call "Lazy" Learning Strategies.
